The Majestic Inn and Spa is proud to welcome Executive Chef Erik Morris to the Majestic Family!
Born and raised in Anacortes, Chef Erik has long standing ties to the community and spends most of his free time with his two year old son Oliver. He also enjoys many outdoor activities, including hiking, surfing, and mountain biking.
Chef Erik started his culinary journey in local restaurants before receiving his formal training at Skagit Valley College. As with most foodies, Chef Erik wanted to explore other regions to broaden his culinary base. He spent time in Chicago to attend the renowned “The French Pastry School”. Upon graduating, he moved to Southern California to work as the Pastry Chef for the Laguna Beach Montage Resort and Disneyland in the Blue Bayou restaurant. During his Southern California stint, Chef Erik had the privilege to work under Celebrity Chef Robert Irvine (Restaurant Impossible), Jamie Oliver (Naked Chef), and Alton Brown (Good Eats, Iron Chef).
A true Northwest native can only stay away so long. Chef Erik moved back to Washington to accept the Executive Pastry Chef position at the Swinomish Casino. Erik’s first Executive Chef Opportunity came at the La Conner Seafood and Prime Rib. Chef Erik is excited to showcase his twist on Pacific Northwest Cuisine at The Majestic Inn and Spa.
